Welcome to this online training course on Basic Fire Safety for the Whole Family.
Every year, there are about 20,000–25,000 residential fires in Sweden. A fire often breaks out quickly and unexpectedly, but most fires start out small. With the right knowledge, you can both reduce the risk of a fire breaking out and feel more confident about how to respond if an accident does occur.
In this course, you’ll learn how to prevent fires in your home, how to put out a small fire, and—if you can’t put it out—how you and your family should act and evacuate safely while waiting for emergency services to arrive.
Certificates and action plans are provided upon completion of the course.
Course Content
Practical Exercise
The course includes sections where we, as a family, are given assignments or exercises to do together at home. These might involve earning points by finding all the fire extinguishers, or evacuating and making your way to your designated meeting place. The goal is for everyone in the family to have practiced what to do in case of an emergency. Of course, the kids can print out a certificate when they’re done.
