Your Car and Life in Mind Save Lives on the Roads!

Launching a New, Vital Project

Din bil, one of Sweden's largest dealers of new and used cars, has partnered with Life in Mind to launch a project aimed at promoting safety on our roads and encouraging civic courage in society.

Din Bil has long had an established partnership with Life in Mind through CPR training for over 500 employees. Life in Mind has also supplied defibrillators to all 68 Din Bil locations. We are now expanding this partnership, as Life in Mind will equip some of Din Bil’s service vehicles with defibrillators. The vehicles will feature clear signage indicating that a defibrillator is on board, to increase the chances of helping to save lives even outside Din Bil’s facilities.

The goal is also to raise awareness about defibrillators and CPR. Life in Mind and Din Bil share a common vision of increasing the availability of defibrillators in society as a whole.
Combined with knowledge of CPR, this would save more lives. This project is a step toward increasing the availability of rapid and effective assistance in the event of cardiac arrest, even outside Din Bil’s facilities. But above all, it helps raise awareness about CPR and AEDs and creates a safer society.

Your Car Helps Bring More Defibrillators to the Community

“By partnering with Life in Mind and installing AEDs in some of our vehicles, we are taking an active step to improve the chances of survival in the event of cardiac arrest on the roads. We also aim to raise awareness about these vital issues and hope to inspire other companies in Sweden to do the same,” says Peter Steiner, Quality Manager at Din Bil.

This partnership exemplifies the potential that can be realized when organizations join forces toward a common goal. Through this collaboration, Din Bil and Life in Mind strive to create a positive and lasting impact on society. We do this by raising awareness and, in turn, fostering greater civic courage.

“It’s truly inspiring when such a prominent player as Din Bil chooses to think outside the box and get involved in raising awareness about defibrillators and CPR skills. I believe that civic courage begins with a thought. Seeing these cars can be the starting point needed to get people to reflect on their own CPR skills and the availability of defibrillators. It’s a small but essential step toward working together to create a safer Sweden,” says Camilla Thurell, founder and CEO of Life in Mind.

We will launch the project in March 2024. We will evaluate it after six months to determine whether it is appropriate to scale up the collaboration.
